“Chiropractic is the only proven effective treatment in chronic cases (of whiplash injuries),” was the conclusion drawn by authors Khan, Cook et. al. of University Department of Orthopeadic Surgery in Bristol, UK. Their 1999 paper entitled A Symptomatic Classification of Whiplash Injury and the Implications for Treatment, followed 93 patients, pre and post chiropractic treatment to assess what kinds of injuries respond and best benefit from chiropractic care. A full 74% of all patients treated improved significantly, even if they had neurological symptoms and/or restricted range of motion in the neck.
